Founded in Columbus in 2001 by local entrepreneurs Ryan Hou (CEO of LHP, Inc.) and David Glass (CEO of LHP Software), LHP Software is today a diversified software engineering service company specializing in highly engineered solutions, specifically embedded software, engineering tools, telematics and emerging technologies.
From its humble beginnings just over a decade ago, the company has benefited from multiple expansions in Columbus, and today the company employs more than 200 locally.
“We’ve found tremendous support in Columbus, each step of the way,” Glass says.
The company recruits the best and brightest employees from across the nation, most of whom hold advanced engineering degrees. Both Hou and Glass agree, Columbus offers a welcoming environment for those relocating to the Indiana community.
“Many of our workers are in their late 20’s to early 30’s,” Glass says. “It’s neat to see them grow their roots in Columbus.”
As Columbus, Indiana, offers the company easy access to many of its customers, including Cummins Inc., community leaders look forward to welcoming continued growth by the company over the next decade. Hou, a native of Taiwan and resident of Columbus for more than 25 years, is supportive of that plan.
“LHP is a homegrown company with a team of talented people in Columbus, and we expect to find continued success here,” Hou says.
