Sports in Columbus
Columbus and sports go hand in hand. Bike, walk, or run the 19-mile trail system, or play a round of golf at one of the many golf courses in the including Otter Creek which has been ranked by Golf Digest as one of "America's 100 Greatest Public Courses."
The Columbus area boasts many opportunities for softball, swimming, basketball, and even hockey and ice skating. When tournament season is underway, athletes and their families travel here for regional, state, and national competitions.
Columbus is also conveniently located close to major league football and baseball teams in Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and Chicago. In addition, there's world class auto racing less than an hour away, including the Indianapolis 500, Nascar's Brickyard 400, and the NHRA U.S. Nationals.
